Students, alumni, employees and community are invited to take part in creating fun and festive anniversary celebrations that honors our past, celebrates our vibrant present, and looks toward the bright future of the Gauchos.
Join us to learn about the rich history and life of the college through a decade-by-decade journey of the college's history. Sift through some of the historical collections and artifacts of the college and take part in an interactive GCC History Quiz. There will also be an interactive archives activity that students can take for extra credit. The presentation and quiz will begin at 1 p.m. with an open discussion, browsing, and question period to follow. The interactive archives can be taken anytime between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sean O'Brien, the archives librarian, will be available to answer questions. As well as Terry Prince Sims, daughter of John F. Prince, GCC's first Executive Dean (president), will be in attendance to share her knowledge.
