Funding for a venture is notoriously difficult to obtain--especially when it comes to big banks. However, most people don't realize that their own community is rich with funding sources that are designed to work with startups and small businesses! These community finance organizations provide micro and small-business loans as well as expert advice from years of working with local entrepreneurs. Attendees will be introduced to a group community finance organization and have the opportunity to participate in an interactive discussion. The event will consist of individual interviews with each organization as well as a panel discussion addressing common questions and hurdles as well as their outlook on local entrepreneurship.
