. The Peoria Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee has its first event at Rio Vista Park. Join us on May 15th, Armed Forces Day, for a flag walk honoring our city veterans.
We are looking for event sponsors and community support to go towards raising money to assemble packages from home, a comfort and care package sent to deployed American military heroes stationed in active duty theaters around the world.

The event is open to the whole community to come out and walk in honor of a veteran. We will be assembling 100 packages from home and hosting activities for kids.
9:00AM- Presentation of colors by Jr ROTC, National Anthem, patriotic speeches by one of our local Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and one from the Children of the American Revolution.
9:30AM- Flag Walk Trail open
10:30AM- Assemble packages from home for deployed military heroes
