Description:
BASIC ELIGIBILITY FOR BLOOD DONATION
- Must be at least 16 years old (16- and some 17-year-olds must bring a signed permission form from a parent or guardian, if required by state or school).
- Weigh at least 110 pounds. Certain height/weight criteria may apply for donors 22 years old or younger.
- Be in good general health.
- For your safety and to ensure a positive donation experience, make sure you eat within two hours ahead of your donation. Drink plenty of water that day and 24 to 48 hours beforehand. Feel free to help yourself to something to eat and drink in our refreshment area.
- Bring your ID—something with your name and one of the following: date of birth, donor ID number or your photo.
- You must wait eight weeks between whole blood donations. Learn more about specific intervals for other types of donation.
- You should not be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs at the time of donation.

What to Expect
1. Check in for your appointment.
2. Meet with trained staff to complete health screening and questionnaire.
3. Donor care specialist will review results and determine the best way for you to donate.
4. Specialist will clean an area on your arm and insert a sterile needle to begin.
5. You will then complete the whole blood donation process, which can take up to 15 minutes (usually 1O).
6. Enjoy light refreshments to replenish fluids and nutrients.
7. You’re done! Feel proud knowing you’ve saved up to three lives, and encourage friends and family to donate!
For donating on May 29th you will receive:
- A voucher for a free Chick Fil A Sandwich
- A voucher for a free 12" pizza at Bubbas 33
- A voucher for a free Culvers Treat
- A voucher for a free Pizza Hut Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

- For donating between May 28- September 10th You will be entered to win a 2021 VW Tiguan S
