Presenters:
Maribeth Gallagher, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FAAN (Sessions 1 & 3)
Maribeth is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a doctoral degree in Nursing. She serves as director of Hospice of the Valley’s award-winning Dementia Program, which has earned national and
international distinction. Her commitment to improving dementia care was inspired by her own experiences as a family caregiver, sharing the journey with her loved one with dementia from diagnosis to death.
Matthew Skinner, MD (Session 2)
Dr. Skinner is a board-certified internist and geriatrician. He serves as medical director for Hospice of the Valley’s innovative Dementia Care and Education Campus and its Dementia Hospice Inpatient
Care Home. He is passionate about working with our geriatric population and, in particular, providing compassionate dementia care through the late stages of the disease.
