ONE Community
ONE Community, based in Arizona, is a pioneering force dedicated to advancing equality and inclusion. Their journey began in 2013 with the launch of the UNITY Pledge, uniting businesses, organizations, faith leaders, and individuals in the pursuit of workplace equality and equal treatment for LGBTQ individuals and their allies. In 2014, amidst the SB1062 controversy, ONE Community's influential campaign and the "OPEN for Business to Everyone" sign, created in collaboration with FASTSIGNS on Central, played a pivotal role in rallying support against discriminatory legislation, ultimately leading to the bill's veto. This marked the inception of a significant movement.
Today, the UNITY Pledge stands as the largest equality pledge in the nation. ONE Community's enduring commitment to innovative education and advocacy programs continues to pave the way for progress. With an unwavering promise, ONE Community tirelessly strives to build bridges and forge partnerships that will shape an Arizona where diversity is celebrated, respect is universal, and everyone's rights are safeguarded—a journey towards a more inclusive and equitable Arizona that they are determined to see through to the end.
