About One Step Beyond, Inc.
Just like anyone else, people with Intellectual Disabilities strive for a life of fulfillment. They want to live as independently as they can, through meaningful employment, significant social relationships, and full inclusion in their communities. When given the opportunity their abilities begin to shine, and we all begin to recognize the unique talents these adults can contribute to their communities.
Our mission is to provide responsive, progressive, and dynamic programs to empower individuals with intellectual disability to realize their dreams of optimal independence, meaningful employment, significant social relationships, and full participation in our community.
We envision a world in which people with disability are fully included in all areas in our community and are recognized for their potential, their talent, and their contributions to our society.
Now, Just a Few Years Later, as of now, over 250 young people come to One Step Beyond, Inc. All are learning the daily homemaking, vocational, behavioral, and basic educational skills that will allow them to take their place in society and to lead meaningful, responsible lives.
