San Diego's professional baseball team, the San Diego Padres play their home games at Petco Park in the Downtown region of San Diego. With year-round good weather, visitors can enjoy a great baseball experience at the #1 Ballpark in America! 

In addition to serving as the home of the Padres, Petco Park also hosts concerts, special events and other sporting events. In October 2017, it hosted the third annual nine-hole golf event The Links at Petco Park, in partnership with Callaway Golf. The venue transitioned into an outdoor hoops arena in 2015 for the Bill Walton Basketball Festival, featuring a week of community events, tournaments and high school games, culminating in the SDSU vs. USD men’s basketball game. In early 2017, the park welcomed monster trucks and dirt bikes back, as host of Monster Jam and Monster Energy Supercross. The inaugural World Baseball Classic semi-finals and final were played at Petco Park in 2006, with the site playing host to second-round games in 2009 and again in 2017. Petco Park has hosted the 2014 Davis Cup, The USA SEVENS Rugby tournament, and international soccer matches including the Tijuana Xolos. Petco Park also serves as a year-round concert venue, having hosted The Rolling Stones (November 2005 and May 2015), Madonna (November 2008) Sir Paul McCartney (September 2014),Taylor Swift (August 2015), Billy Joel (May 2016), and most recently, Metallica (August 2017). In September 2018, The Eagles, Zac Brown Band, Journey and Def Leppard will all play Petco Park.
